Lindelani Makuya was research station manager from January 2021 until August 2022. Since then, she is the research manager. Inbar Schnitzer was the manager of the bush Karoo rat project December 2019 until February 2020. Arielle Farrell was research manager from July 2019 until March 2020. Margeaux Duparcq was station manager from August 2019 until January 2020. Javed Anved was research manager from November 2018 until May 2019. Leon Kotze was station manager from November 2018 until July 2019. Gidas Lemonnier, Scientific Manager from 2018-2019. Gildas was hired by the to support the project. As soon as his position at the CNRS became permanent as French public servant, he left the project. Florian Droaurd was an excellent research manager from August 2017 to October 2018. Richard Askew was the station manager from October 2017-October 2018. Milena Zduniac was the research manager from October 2016 until September 2017. During that period she studied and published about the micro-climate of basking spots from striped mice: they bask at spots that are somewhat warmer than the surrounding. Jörg Jäger joined the research station in 2015 as research assistant for the project eco-physiology of cognition before be became the station manager from 2016 to 2017. As station manager, he especially worked on the question how resting metabolic rate is related to personality. From November 2015 until November 2016 the research manager was Jessica Mulvey, who measured organ sizes in striped mice. Surprisingly, organ sizes do not differ a lot between the dry and the moist season. From 2006 until 2015 we had only one manager. Ed Yuen who was the reserach station manager from May 2008 until 2015. In 2015 he left the research station to finish his PhD about personality in striped mice at the University of the Witwatersrand. Maarten Bleeker from the Netherlands staid from May 2007 to April 2008 as research station manager. Ivana Schoepf was the first research station manager from July 2006 to June 2007, when she started a PhD at the striped mouse which she finished in 2013. Aftewards she remained for 2 more years in Goegap until 2015 as postdoc. |
